Henderson, Nev., (October 18, 2005)—Desert Capital REIT Inc., a real estate investment trust headquartered in Henderson, Nev., today announced it has filed a second registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for a proposed public offering of up to $225 million of its common stock.

Desert Capital REIT Inc. is proposing to offer 15 million shares of common stock priced at $15 per share.
